What I try for are
pieces with soul -- not simple functional works.
Speaking of "soul," what could more about that than a
pet or human urn? When people buy urns, they tend to
look like, well an urn, and visitors can become
uncomfortable looking at a symbol of death in the room.
My "spirit pot" is designed for pets or humans and
different from anything else on the market. In fact, the
design is copyrighted. The basket below is filled with
flowers, representing life. They sit over an Anastazi
ashes pot (which in that religious tradition is the
earth from which all creatures emerge and return. The
basket is a French break basket, representing eternal
life. Now your aunt Matilda or your pet cat spunky can
be on the mantle and people need not be uncomfortable.
